Mediation

Mediator Henry Harmeling IV has been mediating disputes since he became licensed as a lawyer in California in June 2000. Mr. Harmeling is a member of the San Diego Superior Court Mediation Panel and also mediates attorney-client fee disputes through the San Diego County Bar Association. As a civil litigation attorney, Mr. Harmeling has spent roughly an equal amount of time as both plaintiff’s counsel and defense counsel, and Mr. Harmeling has worked with, for, and against most of the nation’s largest insurance companies. Mr. Harmeling offers a unique perspective as a neutral and blends facilitative and evaluative styles in order to aid and further the resolution process.

Mr. Harmeling offers the same rates for a mediation whether or not it is referred through the Superior Court: $150/hr. for the first two hours, $250/hr. thereafter (2-hour minimum). Mr. Harmeling also offers free telephone follow-up should a matter fail to resolve at the initial mediation session. Mr. Harmeling has two locations to serve your mediation needs, in downtown San Diego and in his new Encinitas-area offices. In order to better serve the residents and boards of San Diego-area homeowners associations, Mr. Harmeling will also conduct on-site mediations upon request.
